Question by Richard Head: How black do you need to be to apply for a United Negro College Fund Scholarship?
I’m a white Hispanic and my wife is mixed race hispanic (think Sammy Sosa as a woman). Our kids look like curly haired spaniards. Can they apply? What are their chances? Can we sue if they say were are too white?
Meh – The correct grammer is “you’re an as$ ” not “your an as$ ”

Keep practicing. But get your white friends to help with your scholarship essay.

Check your ideal college’s financial aid website. They usually list federal and private scholarships/grants. Also check the higher education website for your state. I know for a fact that as a young mom that if you have children and have low income, Pell grants will usually cover tuition for undergraduate. There are some colleges that have scholarships specifically for single parents are mom’s returning to college after staying home with their children. Most of this aid is for undergraduate college.
